Works from the exhibition, Saccharine Sunday.

2013

A series of objects explore the seductive qualities of a variety of materials including plaster, gilded book pages, fake fruit and faux marble. This sees a re-analysing of the enticing properties of Classical/Baroque art and architecture, and is as much an investigation into the artist's own attraction to these styles as it is a deconstruction of the ideals of high and low brow art. Each object is sited on a custom-made plinth in reference to the theatricality of the source material.
